Social Coach - FOPI Program

Part-time Social Coaches are needed for a new program - 'FOCUS on Personal Independence'.  The job is ideal for a junior or senior level college student majoring in education or psychology. The program includes working with a young adult with Asperger's Syndrome.  The goal of the program is to assist them in obtaining personal independence skills.  The hours will vary from 10-20 hours per week and will include some evening hours.  Training will be provided.  Starting salary range is $10-12 per hour.

 

 

Social Coach - Clear Lake Satellite Location

Part-time teachers or "Social Coaches" are needed at all FOCUS Initiative locations to teach social understanding and life preparation classes to students with autism spectrum disorders and social-cognitive deficits.  Job requirements include a degree in education or a related field, prior teaching experience - preferably in a special education setting - thorough knowledge and understanding of autism spectrum disorders and an easy-going and flexible attitude.  Classes are taught during late afternoons and early evening hours.  Great opportunity for public/private school teachers looking for extra income.  Training is required and provided for all new teachers.  Starting salary range is $20-28 per hour.
